There are a number of staff changes at our office. First of all, we want to thank Julia Bellamy and Jason Daley for their years of great work at MYLAPS US. Julia and Jason’s departure leave gaps but we have been very active on the hiring front and are very happy to welcome three industry experts to our team: Alex Sosebee started with MYLAPS in June, while David Ameijeiras and David Rye started in the first half of August.
In September, we will be implementing a slightly different structure at MYLAPS US. We are finalizing detailed definitions of roles, responsibilities, and territories. In our next newsletter, we will give you an update on this.
New team members
Alex Sosebee
Alex Sosebee joined MYLAPS as Account Manager after having spent the last seven years as a ChronoTrack Timer in the Atlanta market. Working alongside his business partner, he helped grow their timing company from hand timing 10 events in 2010 to over 180 events per year in 2016, offering full event services and coordination. One of his great joys in that endeavor was growing the business by offering innovative solutions and technologies to race directors and networking with other timers. At MYLAPS, he can do that on a large-scale and he looks forward to helping MYLAPS timers in growing your business. Alex’ efforts will be focused on customers stretching from the Midwest to the Pacific in US and Canada.
David Rye
David Rye recently started as a Sales Executive and will be focused on helping MYLAPS add timing partners as well as assisting our existing timing partners as they pursue new races. David has experience in the timing world after four years in Sales for ChronoTrack and one year timing for RaceWire. Vermont is home to David, but we look forward to getting him to Atlanta often and he is eager to get out and visit many timing partners in the coming months. David has more than a professional interest in endurance sports, as most of his free time is spent running, mountain biking and skiing. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce some of our newest team members.
David Ameijeiras
David Ameijeiras is the newest Account Manager working in the Endurance Sports team at MYLAPS. He recently joined from Brooks Running where he worked in sales, serving Run Specialty partners in the South East, and supported various local and large attendance race events across the country. He’ll be working with customers in the Eastern United States & Canada.
